Arusha National Park is easily accessible from the city of Arusha, which is about 45 minutes away by road. Arusha itself is well-connected to major cities in Tanzania, including Dar es Salaam and Kilimanjaro. For international travelers, Kilimanjaro International Airport is the closest major airport, located about an hour away from the park.

Best Time to Visit Arusha National Park
The best time to visit Arusha National Park is during the dry season, which runs from June to October. During this period, wildlife is easier to spot as animals gather around water sources, and the weather is generally sunny and pleasant.

The park is also a great destination during the short rainy season in November and December, when the landscape is lush and green, and there are fewer tourists, making it ideal for those looking for a quieter experience.

Weather and Climate
Arusha National Park enjoys a temperate climate, with mild temperatures year-round. The park’s altitude of around 1,500 meters above sea level contributes to its moderate weather. The average temperature in the lowlands is around 20°C to 30°C (68°F to 86°F), while it can be cooler in the highland areas near Mount Meru.
